Fashion Business Today




              In general fashion business is very completed in the sense it is fragmented. There are lot of brand compete each other in domestic as well as international and global.

           All the brands required strong brand differentiation to be success in order to  achieve their market share.


          Brand differentiation brings successful business to the brand. Most of the time brand identity and brand image overlap each other and commonly create confusion with end customers. Brands from luxury to mass market are hugely investing lot on their advertisings. But only this is not enough to hold the existing customers from competitor offers.

     

              In order to increase the brand loyalty, brand are conducting fashion shows, usually there are only two fashion show per year are conducted but now there are four fashion show are conducted per year. Which create a presser in fashion pipeline in order get the goods at the right time form the manufacture place. 

        Luxury market RTW are often over lapped with accessible luxury and mass market RTW. End customers are usually mix their dressing with mass market, accessible luxury RTW, with luxury brand accessories and perfumes.  
   
        Most of the mass market brand copy the luxury brands RTW and they are very fast in the market in the sense of manufacturing in short time than luxury brand. Luxury brand manufacturing are stronger the the mass market brands. There are few manufacture are available for luxury brand and large quantity for mass market brands. 

         Every 2 week once fashion change for fast fashion in mass market. People heavily pushed to make purchase and brands are successful with this strategy. The most common brand follow this strategy are Zara and H&M.

     H&M doesn't have own factories so it is quite easy for the brand to change echo friendly than other brands, H&M has a future plan before 2020 all their products are sustainable products.

         Sustainable is more important because people have lot of cloths in their wardrobe than in last century. People often change their dressing style, in order to keep them update in fashion cycle. As a result lot of production waste and used cloth waste.

         Lots of UK and Europe based social organization and foundation work on the garment waste. but it tremulously increase as the fashion business grow. All the garment waste are landfilled every year.

           Most of the luxury brand achieved low profit in RTW rather than accessories and leather products. so luxury brand are casing less garment waste compared to mass market brands.

             Future fashion manufacturing and delivering to the customer in echo logical way will be a big task for the brand. Green products are the only solution to save the planet.
