As in the
modern and developed technology era, with the support of numerous and varies
organisation like independent & dependent (Government & non-Government)
and non-profit organisation helps to grow the economic scale.
According to
various studies about Child labours, found that, they are involved in fuelling
the Global economic in cheap labour market. The below example explain the figure and
facts.
- Global
number of children in child labour has declined by one third since 2000,
from 246 million to 168 million children. More than half of
them, 85 million, are in hazardous work (down from 171 million
in 2000).
- Asia
and the Pacific still has the largest numbers (almost 78
million or 9.3% of child population), but Sub-Saharan
Africa continues to be the region with the highest incidence of child
labour (59 million, over 21%).
- There
are 13 million (8.8%) of children in child labour in Latin
America and the Caribbean and in the Middle East and North
Africa there are 9.2 million (8.4%).
- Agriculture remains
by far the most important sector where child labourers can be
found (98 million, or 59%), but the problems are not negligible
in services (54 million) and industry (12 million) –
mostly in the informal economy.
- Child
labour among girls fell by 40% since 2000, compared
to 25% for boys.

ILO
standardize on International law worker below age 18 are consider as child
labour. Most of the child labours are worked in rural area almost 70% and rest
are working in developed cities. Child labours are employed in various
industries, hazard works and domestic.
Mostly Child
labours are gets into the textile and clothing industry because textile and
apparel are one of the world’s largest industries. Globalization indirectly
educates the child labour market due to sharp manufacturing cost. Many high
street and fast fashion brand are changing their sourcing ethic to avoid child
labour, unfortunately it was not complete success, and Here and there some of
the brand scandals are caught and published in media. Sometimes common people
are fight against the brand.
In recent years brand are caught
for the child labours are Primark, Matalan, Joe Fresh, El Corte lngles,
bonmarchè, Mango, United colors of benetton,
Children Place, Wal Mart, Gap, H&M, Disney, Nike, Sears, Kik, La senza,
Victoria’s Secret, Alexander Wang, Marks and Spencer, Equop, Hug, Gossypium
and Bishopston trading. Almost there is
no fairtrade label for chlothing.
Various
organization studies in different countries with different aspect to measure
the Child labour Index. Emerging countries and several countries are practicing
child labour market due to various reasons. Some of the main reasons are
climatic change, poor job market, and low economic growth.
Countries
like Bangladesh, India, Nigeria and Pakistan are the worst countries even
dozens of countries are very bad like Chad, The Democratic Republic of Congo,
Ethiopia, Liberia, Burma, Somalia, Sudan and Zimbabwe. Extreme risk countries
are Indonesia, Egypt, Philippines, Iran, Vietnam, Brazil and Mexico. China is
involved in this but the Government is not publishing the real statistic.
